I am a great believer in the 'Arts for All'.
I have many years experience of facilitating art sessions and workshops
for people of all ages and abilities and really enjoy sharing my knowledge and skills.
I make the distinction in saying facilitate and not teach
because I believe people need to discover
their own creativity.
It is about giving people the space, the materials
and crucially the confidence to have a go.
Most children have a natural curiosity about the world and find it easy to
explore and create. Unfortunately, often these natural instincts are
remodelled by the rules, fears and expectations of the adult world and this
natural creativity is lost. People say 'Discover the child within' and I
agree. There is no right or wrong way in the creative process. The main
thing is to 'do'! Learning is a process of discovery and the enthusiasm and
opportunity to do so is what I hope I bring to my workshops.
